The GBSSA accepts new memberships and renewals for educational institutions between July 1 and October 31 of each year. Memberships expire on August 31 of the following year and covers all student services staff within the business school and includes:
- Subscription to the Discussion Listserv
- Access to the full GBSSA Web site, including job board and the discussion archives
- Discounted fee for GBSSA conference
- Access to the conference archives
- Opportunities for scholarships and grants
- Voting privileges for GBSSA elections

The Graduate Business Student Services Association was established in 1997 as an organization dedicated to providing network opportunities between colleagues at different graduate business education programs across North America. Each fall the network coordinates an annual conference which allows participants to network and share information about their individual programs.
